I bought this album and pooped my pants, so I guess I got what I paid for. Five stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Back to College, November 3, 2005
This review is from: Poop Yer Pants (Audio CD)
I've owned this album for awhile now, and the more i listen to it the more I appreciate real song writing. Cool alt rock album that's funny and melancholy. Takes me back to the days of college radio. Ahh the good ole days.

5.0 out of 5 stars PYP is good all the time, August 24, 2005
This review is from: Poop Yer Pants (Audio CD)
I have pretty much listened to this album everyday since I got it. Its not that it's the best thing ever recorded or anything like that, it's just really good, like the way a cold beer tastes as you watch the sunrise. On the whole, the album brings swirling beats and rhythms together with thoughtful lyrics and an honest guitar. The songs themselves form a patchwork of acoustic folk and alternative rock, giving the listener feelings of deep sadness (Frisco Man), disillusionment (Green Socks), companionship (Chester and Jonny), independence (Simple), longing (In the Dark) and maybe even some redemption or hope (Boomers...).

I think this album strikes a balance between "Indy" rock and KROQ, with substance and skill. I would recommend this to a broad audience from the causal ear to the musical soul-searcher. I don't know what it means, but I think I Pooped my Pants.
