Oh Poopie. This video of Mystery Science Theater 3000 outtakes is just so funny. This tape features outtakes from season 2 up to 6, even outtakes from the begining theme song. You'll see outtakes from just about everyone. Joel, Mike, Frank, Trace, Jim, Kevin, everyone.... Some of my favorite outtakes are the one where Crow's head is on fire and they just keep on laughing, and the one where Joel screws up his line and says "pancakes" instead of "waffels". You get to see some real funny stuff in this video, I just wish this video could have been longer than just 30 minutes. It will leave you wanting for more and will leave you laughing until you can't stop laughing anymore. It's a great video for any MST3K to enjoy for hours, months, years, and so on... I think you will enjoy it.

Although many a classic scene of Mystery Science Theater 3000 may have looked as if the guys just kept the cameras rolling no matter what happened (and I mean this as a good thing), there was actually many a flubbed line, prop mishap, giggle fit, etc., that never made it into each episode's final print. Poopie! shares a half hour worth of bloopers and blunders with MST3K's legion of fans, and although the length of the video is inarguably pretty short, the content makes this item well worth the purchase. Released in 1995, Poopie! contains cutting floor tapes from the second through sixth seasons of the show. This represents the glory years of the show's run on Comedy Central, with many a clip from both the Joel Hodgson and Mike Nelson eras.

I don't think I'm going to surprise anyone when I say that MST3K was not exactly a high-budget show, so basically anything could and seemingly did happen when it came to the utilization of props, set design elements, and the handling of the bots. Many a scene breaks down into an extended giggle-thon, requiring a number of takes; TV's Frank is particularly susceptible to moments of uncontrolled hilarity. You won't find any theatre-based scenes included here, but you will get a few unplanned-for behind the scenes looks at the SOL and Deep Thirteen sets. Parents of younger MST3K groupies might appreciate knowing that a few words a little stronger than "Poopie!" are uttered in the aftermath of a few blunders, but all in all this is just vintage, spontaneous comedy outtakes from the funniest guys on the planet (and in space). You can often find this short video boxed with a couple of MST3K episodes, so the MST3K fan might want to go that route if possible, but this single tape by itself is well worth the money and really belongs in the personal library of every devoted MSTie out there in the world.

I LOVE THIS TAPE! Unlike all the "BLOOPER" shows we've been subjected to in the past,This is actually funny!TO see the down to earth human side of JOEL,MIKE,TRACE,KEVIN,FRANK,etc...Is a genuine treat for all misties!For me the the best part of this tape is poor Frank Conniff,HE JUST CAN'T STOP LAUGHING!!!Could this be the reason Frank is no longer on the show?I kid of course,(WHO DOSEN'T LOVE TV'S FRANK?).Really though people this is really a great tape.It will make you laugh,"ARE WE GOING ON THREE"And it will make you cry,(JOEL,TRACE,FRANK).At 30min.it delivers but leaves you begging for more.I just hope that we will be given even more tapes like this in the not to distant future.

Skip this fun 30-minute scrapbook - it's included on the 'Manos, Hands of Fate' DVD. (Join my cause for helping the world save money, and making the MST3K guys work harder for our money. Together we might change the world...) Anyway, this 25-minute collection of random screwups/gaffes/and naughty improvisation is throwaway fun for established fans. No clips from the countless 'bad' movies, just various takes of 'skits' that went wrong. My favorite moments: Mike Nelson as both a stoned hippie and '80s singer/icon Morrissey, Satellite of Love setpieces falling on puppeteers, Nelson as Torgo's Pizza Delivery, etc. etc. You'd never truly need this, but if you buy the essential 'Manos Hands of Fate' DVD, this humble giggle will be included. Skip the video, buy 'Manos'. And you can spend that saved cash on beer for MST3K parties. I can't think of a better plan.

Mystery Science Theater 3000 was a very funny show, and their outtakes are absolutely hilarious. I must commend Crow T. Robot and Tom Servo for valor above and beyond the call of duty. Crow's head catches fire, Tom's head falls off and, troopers that they are, they continue speaking their lines without missing a beat. Joel spaces out, Mike cracks up, Dr. Forrester and TV's Frank blow their lines and break up laughing, yet Crow and Tom Servo never even crack a smile. Thirty minutes is the perfect length for viewing this tape, before the bloopers get too repetitive. However, I would very much like to see "Poopie 2: The Sequel!"

Poopie is the kind of tape that any outtake lover must have, regardless if you have seen all of these shows or not. Each outtake was perfectly chosen with enough information before the flub so any local idiot (Moi) can keep up.

This tape will leave a person rolling on the floor, out the door, and into the street. Watching the great Mystery Science Theater 3000 cast fight through line flubs, equipment breakdowns, and various goof offs is (almost) better than watching the actual episode. Everyone takes a flub, instead of just laughing, clear off into the stratosphere. Their quick wit and fast thinking minds really show through on this tape.

The tape begins with the opening title sequence and just how much can go wrong. Then it moves on to 'bots falling apart, even the set joins in, to the actors forgetting the lines they just wrote.

A little warning, some of the language is a bit more coarse. Just the kind of things come off your brain after you've just drilled a nail into your thumb. So nothing too bad.

All in all this is THE tape that shows how off the wall all of these nuts are.

My sister and I had some good laughs watching this. (Good thing we weren't both sitting on her bed or we might have shaken a slat loose.) I just wish they'd put out a tape of the MST3K summer movie previews and their robot academy awards, too.

I love this tape! When I want a short dose of MST to brighten my day I pop this in the VCR and laugh away. It is interesting to see how the robot performers often keep going after the blown take, especially Trace. I guess it becomes such a habit they do it automatically. My favorite moment is when Trace can't get Crow working during the summer sketch and he is kind of spazzing out saying 'Help me!'

This show is the funniest on TV to begin with, and it's unfortunate that Sci-Fi won't pick it up for another season. :( However, I'll always have this video to laugh to! ;) Crow is my favorite, but everyone is hilarious.
