I'M ALWAYS LOOKING AROUND FOR BLUES MUSIC THAT IS BASIC,ENTERTAINING AND HITS YOU RIGHT IN THE SOUL. THAT IS WHAT I FOUND WITH BIG BOY HENRY'S C.D. "POOR MAN'S BLUES". THAT'S THE STUFF THAT BLUES IS MADE OF. IF YOU CAN'T BE MOVED BY THE SONGS ON THAT C.D. THEN YOU SIMPLY DO NOT HAVE A GOOD APPRECIATION OF WHAT GOOD, BASIC COUNTRY BLUES IS ALL ABOUT.

Inspirational, December 13, 1998

Only Big Boy could do Big Boy. My kids call me Big Boy Dad. We were down at the North Carolina seafood festival. I had gotten lost from my wife and friend. She was [really bad]. I was in Big Boy's tent with Lightning Wells. He was singing about his woman being mad at him. Just at that moment, my woman found me in the tent. He sings about real life as only Big Boy can.
