About the Author

Phillip Lewis was born in the northern mountains of North Carolina, the setting for "A Poor Man's Rain." He graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in history and political science and from the University of Baltimore with a Juris Doctor degree. He has written family chronicles, children's stories, and feature articles for local newspapers. He is completing work on a novella titled "Child of Alamoth" and plans to publish a collection of short stories under the title "The Woman in the Mask and other Mountain Stories". He lives near West Jefferson, NC with his wife, Cheryl, and three cats, three dogs and five horses.
