Pop Art 5-1 tasty Baker, July 26, 2010
This review is from: Original 5-in-1 Tasty Baker
Kids loved to eat their pancakes in the shapes, but dad does not love cooking them in there. We find that we need to spray the surface frequently with non-stick spray. If not, the pancakes stick to the top and bottoms. Also, it is a very small working area and takes a bit more time to cook these pancakes. If you have some time in the morning to cook, the kids will get a kick out of this. If you have multiple kids and want to feed them quickly, this might not be the product for you.

Manufacturer Clarification, July 2, 2009
This review is from: Original 5-in-1 Tasty Baker
This review is in response to the comments made by "Musashi" on June 29, 2009. My company is the manufacturer of the 5-in-1 Tasty Baker and Pop Art Toaster. In fact, this company is owned and managed by moms of who I am one. I'm sorry that you are disappointed in the Prize that you won, but felt compelled to respond to some of your criticisms. I have personally made all of the recipes we promote on our website with this product.
1. While you will make several batches with your batter it is quick, easy and the point being you are making "bite sized" treats. It will not take all morning.
2. For cleanup, the baking plate has a non-stick coating and if you follow the instructions a non-stick spray is recommended as well. A free cleaning brush is included to help facilitate the clean up process. It is no harder to clean the Tasty Baker then any other waffle iron on the market. In fact, in winning an iParenting Award, one of their reviewers even praised us for ease of cleanup.
3. Most importantly we do hold a Disney License. I invite you to call Disney to confirm this if you wish. Actually, our Disney Licensed Mickey 5-in-1 Tasty Baker is our best selling item. The Tasty Baker is not marketed as a toy but as a kitchen electric. It is a way for a parent to make child-friendly, fun, food. Also, it can be an interactive activity with a parent and child. Perhaps a child can help mix the batter, or decorate the finished cakes as they would help in making Christmas Cookies. But would you let your kids put the cookies in and out of the oven? No. It's the same principle.
4. Lastly, our Original 5-in-1 Tasty Baker, which is what I believe you won, is not a Disney product and therefore requires no Disney labeling on the package or unit. The Mickey Mouse looking image is in fact a dog.
This product may not be for you, but should you decide to actually use the Tasty Baker, you may discover that it is a fun alternative to the same old cupcakes.

As an outside perspective..., July 1, 2010
This review is from: Original 5-in-1 Tasty Baker
I have never once written one of these reviews, but had to chime in to provide some balance to the ridiculous 1 star rating.
I purchased my "Disney 5-in-1 Tasty Baker" (by this manufacturer) from [...]. The legal team was not asleep at the wheel or overlooking a shady business utilizing their likeness, they endorse it. And sell it. And back it completely.
I gave 4 stars because it is definitely trickier to use than a normal waffle iron (and does, sorry manufacturer-review-writer, require MUCH more tedious involvement).... but I gave 4 stars because it is VERY fun, not difficult to use (when not comparing to a typical pour-it-in waffle iron), and my children adore the results.
I can't wait to try it with things besides waffles!
