Fun, Fun, Fun Reading,
By
This review is from: Pop Tart (Paperback)
This book is a perfect read if you are looking for something fun and entertaining. Pop Tart delivers exactly what it sets out to . . . nothing serious, but a humorous look into the world of pop stardom. We've all seen the headlines that make this story ring true, but it is still a lot of fun. This book is what it is, and does it very, very well... a perfectly entertaining read!

Best read in a long time!,

After hearing all the hype centered around this book I just had to buy it.
I read the whole thing in 'ONE' day because I couldn't put it down. I highly suggest Pop Tart for anyone interested in finding out about what really goes on in Hollywood from authors who know what they are talking about. Excellent!!!

To tell you the truth, it's not that good a book. I bought it for my daughter and she lost interest halfway through. On the other hand, if you liked Nanny Diaries, this book is for you.

Tantalizing, exciting, and a good behind-the-scenes story,
By Adrienne May (Philadelphia) - See all my reviews

I'm a sucker for celebrity magazines and blogs, and Pop Tart really hit the spot. It's behind-the-scenes look at a younger Britney Spears at this day and age is tantalizing and you want Jackie to succeed despite the famous Brooke constantly bringing her down in the dark celebrity spiral. You feel bad for Brooke at how vulnerable she is from the Hollywood vultures our there, but it shows just how emotional Pop Tart can be and a much better replacement to read than some just-as-fictional tabloids. I'd recommend Pop Tart to anyone who has ever been curious to what it would be like being in the "it-group" with a young pop star.

Ive only began to read this book whenever I am in between class but it is pretty interesting if you ever dreamed of going to hollywood or just love celebrity gossip. The story line is beginning to be a bit dragged out but the way it is written is like a daily journal so the fact it is drawn out allows you to forget for a second it is fiction.- you start to really place people and yourself in the characters shoes of "what if i got a dream job in hollywood" there is alot of exciting things that any love struck girl would enjoy. great getaway read :) glad I got it

fun summer reading,

Got an advanced copy to read and enjoyed it. It's a great summer beach read. A nice eye-opening experience into the crazy entertainment business, too. You take one look at these girls, with all their talent and money, and think they've got it together but... Obviously Julianne Kaye saw a lot as Britney's makeup artist. I hope she writes another novel; there's got to be more deep dish out there she can share with us.

I had just finished reading the Chelsea Handler books and was looking for another fun book full of crazy stories... and did I ever find one! It was shocking and hilarious, and I loved piecing together all the things I had heard about this into a complete story. I feel like I really know the inside scoop now and it's even juicier than I thought!

Behind the scenes look into stardom.,

Pop Tart is different than a book I'd normally read, but I liked the cover and the back description sounded good so I gave it a try. It was better than expected. Im not really into the whole tabloids thing and reading up on celebrities, but I liked to see a little bit of how the other (wealthy and famous) half lives. I totally pictured Brooke Parker as a mix of Myley Cyrus and Lindsay Lohan and the Emerson Brothers as the Jonas Brothers haha.

AMAZING!,

I LOVED, loved, loved this book. I couldn't even put it down. I got it because I had heard that the writer used to be Britney Spears make up artist & being that I love Britney and that I used to run with that young Hollywood crowd, I was hoping some of the crazy stuff that really happened at parties & whatnot would make it into the book.
Wow! I was not disappointed! That was an unbelievably insane, crazy, fun time. It was such a blast to read it from even more of an inside perspective. Yeah, I know...this book is fiction, but reading this book it's more than obvious that it comes from a real place based on real situations & real people. It's an easy, fast paced read and you really can relate to the main character Jackie, in fact, you find yourself wishing you were her at some points. I'm a make up artist too and of course my dream is to be the personal MUA for some huge star that's my age. Who wouldn't want that & all the perks that come with it?! It's exciting to go along on this journey with her. I totally recommend this book to any girl who ever wanted to be bff's with a huge star or anyone who just wants a sneak peek into what its really like to run with young Hollywood's rich & famous. OH!! And..one of the parties written about in the book, I'm SURE I was there! And...it was just as nuts as the "fictional" party says. GET THIS BOOK ASAP! |
