Sometimes this little gadget softens when I need it. I think for the money it is a nice little extra to carry around. You might have a shot that turns out just the way you liked without all the bulkiness of carrying something bigger to do the same thing. Worth the money.

I bought it thinking it would be a higher quality product. the photo is not a good representation of the product. it's big and bulky and ugly. does not look like something a professional would use. Looks like it came out of the 70's.

You'd be better off using a piece of paper.

I read in some of the reviews that people with Canon's have difficulties using this and were dissatisfied. Well at first we had trouble as well, however my boyfriend noticed that on a Canon it has a lever that is tripped and if that lever is tripped the diffuser won't work. We took a box knife to the side of it, trimmed away a little of what was causing the switch to trigger and it works great! Very happy!

I found it has given indoor shots very balanced light & reduced shadows. I tried using it at a zoo but found it reacted horribly with glass. The photos were almost pitch black. So, all in all, it's well worth the $10!

I just got this today, and I am a little confused.

I have a Canon digital XT

The black piece that comes with this is used to attach it to the hot shoe slot, but when the black piece of plastic is inserted into the hot shoe slot, the flash will not fire.

When I remove it, and just hold the diffuser in front of the flash with my hand, the flash will fire and it does seem to diffuse the flash.

How come the flash won't fire at all when I have the black piece of plastic slid into the hot shoe attachment?

This product will be worthless if I have to hold it with my hand, instead of it attaching to the camera itself.

When i put this on my camera I thought it would soften the look of my pictures. It just made them a little darker. Picture with out this product came out fine.

i DRILLED the thing apart trying to prevent it from preventing the flash from going off at all. when i was done, the thing wouldn't stay in the hole. garbage for me. the plastic was strong as hell, i'll give it that. but if you have an xti, this won't work.

when it thach the elctric pins it doesnt pop up it think its the out flash garbage
