Popcorn is a riveting play that really nails the way in which society functions today. Not only is Popcorn a really enjoyable read, but the statements it makes about society even have the innocent, morally abiding Americans feeling guilty, if for only a moment. It much reminds me of the most recent film rendition of Funny Games in which cruel humor is both used to entrance and educate blood thirsty, violence fascinated American audiences.
Read this play! You will not be disappointed. |
