5.0 out of 5 stars My Favorite De/Vision Album in years, May 3, 2010

I'm a huge De/Vision fan. I own every album and have loved their music for years. This is such a great album, my favorite of theirs in years. It has it all, fast pop songs, cool sad ones, and in infectious groove. If you have never bought a De/Vision album, this is a great one to start with. It gets me going in the morning and powers me through my day. I think because I'm a "Mandroid."

5.0 out of 5 stars Time to be alive, March 25, 2010
This review is from: Popgefahr (Audio CD)
I haven't been a De/Vision fan for too long. It has been a couple of years since my first De/Vision concert that got me hooked on to their brand of synthpop. Popgefahr is the Steffen Keth and Thomas Adam's newest album that was just released this week. I got my copy this past Monday. I have not been able to stop listening to Popgefahr. The music is addictive and infectious. The pop melodies will stick in the listener's head for a long time. I know I have the songs to "Plastic Heart" and "Twisted Story" stuck in my head. There is not one single track on the album that I did not like. They all sounded great. The group left me wanting more but that is a good thing. It is better to have an album that is short yet good than have it long and boring.

I own most of De/vision's albums and this one is possibly their best. It's extremely catchy and infectious. I especially love Time to Be Alive, Plastic Heart and Until the End of Time. The latter is so good, I have to press repeat and listen to it four or five times in a row. I highly recommend this to De/vison fans and people who like synth/electronic pop with bite.

5.0 out of 5 stars Legendary Effort from legendary Snth-Pop band, May 30, 2011
This review is from: Popgefahr (MP3 Download)
De/Vision are a rare breed, one whom get better with the passing of time. Having seen this collection of tracks live on the LOST tour (with Mesh and Iris, two other outstanding acts), it is unquestionably a "10 for 10" effort, that is, ALL 10 tracks are fantastic. Rage is predictably a pulse-pounder, Time to Be Alive masterful, along the lines of DM's "Violator" work, and mAndroids an infectious track, particularly live. Not often would I give a collection 10/10, but this is pretty close. For DeVision fans, THIS is the CD you'd want if you were stranded on a deserted island and only had one to choose from. And DON'T miss the chance to see them live!

I really liked this CD from De/Vision. It's along the lines of Noob, pretty good stuff, I'd put in the top 3 of the CD's they have released.

De/vision is one of those constants you can always count on. They have some of the best skillsets when it comes to channeling emotions into songs, and they have one of the best lead singers sounding off in the EBM, electronic scene that I have heard in a long time. I suppose that is one reason they can put out one to two albums a year and, like clockwork, I can set my mind to their music and find myself loving it.
It is hard to tire of, has something moving in it that makes you feel and is melodically leading, and that makes you sing inside.

I love the band.

In this release, I saw many of the things I saw a few years ago, making me a happy camper. Out of all of the songs I only found two I didn't care for on the first ride through, and even they grew on me enough to keep on listening. That's one of the things aobut the band as well - sometimes they have a simple idea and it would not translate for another band. In fact, some of their songs almost seem like foreign releases, but those vocals wash all of that away. This album, much like their previous work, proves that better than reviews can really say.
In fact, if you REALLy want an opinion that is moving, check out the samples and hear it yourself.
I am wiling to bank on you liking what you hear.

Fans, newcomers; it really doesn't make a difference when you look at it. I know a lot of people that would not really be fans of this type of music, but De/Vision is that exception (along with bands like Mesh and perhaps some VNV or Seabound). Simply forget the labels, look into the songs, and expect only the best.
You'll be a happy camper when you do it that way.
