60's go-go songs done in a new way, May 16, 2003

This E.P. is just a small taste of what Mexico City's Salon Victoria are all about. What we get here is a collection of covers from the 1960's done in the unique Salon Victoria way. "Pensaba en Ti" (an original by the Venezuelan/Mexican 60's teen idol, Enrique Guzman) gets a cool new twist, a mix of Ska and Go-Go. While songs like "Corazon Contento" and "Oh Carol" get a full on ska-punk treatment. Other stand out tracks are "Si tu Boquita Fuera" (from the Perfume de Violetas soundtrack) and "Despeinada". Pretty cool Cd, but their debut is better.
