Soulful Sax,

One of the best smooth jazz albums I have ever heard. The first track, "Toronto", and the last track "Bridgin' the Gap" will give you chills. Funky, soulful and romantic sax. This is Warren Hill at his best.

Warren Hill has been one of "Smooth Jazz and More's" most requested recording artists. He had a huge success with his 1997 release, "Devotion". The track, "Another Goodbye" still receives airplay on our daily play list. He's recorded other CD's after that with limited success. His latest release in off the Native Language label called, "Pop Jazz". It's a step in the right direction, retuning to the style he's best known for, a hip and funky saxophone. With the Beatles classic, "Come Together". The track, "Still in Love" is as romantic of a song as I've ever heard. Overall, this is a fun CD to listen to. Fans of smooth jazz saxophone will be thrilled with Hill's latest release!

I really like this album. I was hooked on my first listen and although I mostly listen to my ipod these days, I leave a cd or two in my car and this is one of them.My stand out track is low rider. It really touches a nerve. There's a part of the song in the beginning and at the end (where it breaks from the low rider riff with keyboards, a saxophone and a background chant) that give me the chills...it's that good! |
