this is an ART book, not a children's book.
To the other reviewer, and to anyone else who might make the same mistake: this is an ART book, not a CHILDREN'S book. Amanda Visell's art is part whimsical, part macabre, and not intended for children. The book is lovely though, full of excellent shots of Amanda's work. If you're an Amanda Visell fan AT ALL, this book is worth getting.

Strange Book
My child received this book as a gift. I will not be letting her look through the book as it has many disturbing and frightening images ie: decapitated people, people smoking, monsters, and children being eaten by monsters to name a few. Think twice before you buy this book for your child!

I love Amanda's work w/ vinyls. Had to give a review after the idiot below rates it 1 star because your own naivety. So you let your child look through this and then blame the author?
