This album kicks A$$, give it a shot you won't be disappointed. If you get a chance to see them live, do it, just saw their show at the Bottom Lounge in Chicago and they played an awesome set

Diamond Nights are supposed to be America's answer to The Darkness. The Darkness came out with their record two years ago and they have a second one on the way. Diamond Nights got together a few years in New York City. They are obsessed with 1970s rock. The lead singer sounds a little like Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy. This is cool complex rock music. Songs like "Saturday Fantastic" and "It's a Shokka" are really amazing songs. This is like Fastway meets Iron Maiden dude. Of course there is "The Girl's Attractive" which is catchy as hell. This is the coolest song since the Cars. It's odd but this band does sound like a ton of records from 1978-1983. It's like they were transported by a time machine. They had an EP come out a year ago. This collection is much fuller and more happening. Diamond Nights are were it's at!

Diamond Nights- Rocks !,
This review is from: Popsicle (Audio CD)
Greetings,
I recently read a review of this album in Blender comparing their sound to circa 1987. Really? Interesting comparing this band to Whitesnake? All I can say is get a clue. They sound nothing like most of the "big hair bands" and especially nothing like Whitesnake. This band has a definitive retro 70's sound. Nothing wrong with that. Its done well, and I find several of the tunes to be original. They sneak in "The Girls Attractive" which is a hybrid of 80's synth, 70's guitar, with a touch of Talking Heads type lyrics- and it works- rather well! There is an addictive listening quality to this album- well worth the money !

ROCK & ROLL IS DIAMOND NIGHTS... NEEDLE IN THE RICE...,

Diamonds are forever..... This band rocks. People listen to the samples! just listen. I am blown away, I could not believe my ears. This band is not only for kids ages 13 to 25; I am 42 years old and I know a little about rockin my brains out. I support this band 100%; I bought this CD the first time I listened to the samples on Amazon.com. I have it in my CD changer in my car and I rock to work and back.....It's A Shokka. <<<<DIAMOND ROCKS>>>> .

Rock out,

Man, this album rocked me out so hard I don't think I'll ever be the same. The only thing better than a Diamond Nights CD is a Diamond Nights show.

Would you like some Thin Lizzy and Foreigner with your hot RAWK?,

Along with L.A.'s 'The Vacation', Diamond Nights are the best RAWK band I've heard in years. I can't live without this album, and therefore, neither can you...trust me. Best guitar tones I've heard in a looooong time. Doc and Morgan KILL IT on guitars. No wilting flower, there simply isn't a moment when you don't need this album. It's make-out, pissed off, chillin, drivin', essay writing, net-surfin' good. And yes, its passed all those tests. Get this album. Stop reading and get it.
The first genuine vocal salute to Thin Lizzy's great early albums, and the best riffing since Foreigner's Agent Provocatuer and Head Games.

I first heard these guys on Pandora on the Kings of Leon station. I loved the song and did some research on the band. Every review was 4-5 stars. They were correct, because this CD is great. I can't believe I had never heard of them before. Do yourself a favor and discover this band as well. I promise you won't be let down if you like some good old rock & roll. Hopefully they will release another album and go on tour again soon.

I saw these guys at the Crocodile Cafe in Seattle. They're a very tight band, and I was surprised to discover that a band with such a mature sound could be so young. I bet the oldest dude in the band is 22. Anyway, these guys remind me of a lot of good older bands, like Billy Idol's band from the 80's, Ratt, Thin Lizzy, a less over-the-top Quiet Riot, and maybe even early Def Leppard or Scorpions. That said, the songwriting (for the genre) is phenomenal and the musicianship is great. For ten bucks you can't go wrong wih this.

These Diamonds Are Worth A Fortune!,

Thin Lizzy you say? Classic 1970s and 1980s arena rock? Is this what you enjoy? Well then give these guys the love they deserve. They're like the Darkness but better...glam rock at it's finest. "The Girl's Attractive" will get stuck in your head and you'll find yourself singing it all day...but in a good way.
I really recommend this one.
