- * The amazingly talented girls of * Edens Crush*,
By Sheri (D-town, Michi) - See all my reviews

When I first heard of the show, 'PopStars' all that came to my mind was, ' we have another manufacter'd horrible new band. While watching some of the shows and seeing how AMAZING these girls were, proved me wrong by far. The CD is absolutly awesome. They have a great viartey of music. Not to mention these girls can SING! The catchy lyrics of such songs as, 'Get Over Yourself ' , 'No Drama ' , 'You Know I Can' and more, make people want to dance. On the other hand, the cute love lyrics in my personal favorite song , ' Love This Way ' are amazing. The girls have proved to the world that they can make it. Look at them! They are opening up for 'N sync and they just have started. This cd is amazing and EVERYONE should pick it up.

Great Album!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Popstars (Audio CD)
I've always been a pop fan all my life but I had to admit, I was getting a little tired of it. But when I heard Eden's Crush they put songs on their new album "Popstars" I realized that pop couldn't be coming to an end with songs with pop with R and B twist and also just straighforward pop songs. Here's a reveiew on each of the songs. What's Good For The Goose-Very catchy beat, the lyrics are kind of confusing but once you know what it's really talking about, you find that the lyrics are very intelligent and put into good words (It means that if you're going to treat the girl a certain way than it has to be the same with the guy) Let Me Know-Straightforward pop song, shows a great side of the girls' voices, great harmonies Get Over Yourself-Girl power song, very catchy beat and meaningful lyrics, it's one of the songs that you will get tired of but it's good while it lasted Anywhere But Here-Very cute play on the lyrics. One of the songs that gets stuck in your head, great solos Love This Way-This ballad is a very meaningful and beautiful song. Perfect to play while the one you love is around. Great harmonies. No Drama-Another girl power song, shows off a better tone of the girls' voices, more intricate and shows that they really can sing I Wanna Be Free-Very, very cute lyrics, another girl power song, R&B feeling to it Glamorous Life-Perfect for adult fans, cover of Sheila E's song, not bubblegum pop song like most pop princesses would sing today. 1,000 Words-This Spanglish song is very cute and great voices on the song, you'll soon be snapping your fingers to the song and singing loudly along Two-Way-Very cute lyrics, shows off their great voices, great message It Wasn't Me-My favorite song on the album! Great lyrics, favorite lyric:Was it the lipstick on his shirt what gave that man away well red hot masquerade it was never my shade" Cute, cute song, great message! You Know I Can-One of those songs that'll make you say "You go girl!", really cute seductive song Promise Me-This song is a very beautiful ballad, again not another bubblegum pop song, shows off each of the girls' voices, great for playing when your sweetie is around

Manufactured Pop Music At Its Best!,
By "paradise_found" (Musicland, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Popstars (Audio CD)
Okay, so we have, let's see 1, 2, okay, 5 international girls slapped together and lots of hype. That's a given. Here's the surprise: They are actually AMAZING singers. A few tracks are weak, but tell me one CD that doesn't have some of those. I never watched the WB show once, so it came to me as a surpries when I found out how this group of very talented chicks came to be. Here we go again:1. "Good 4 The Goose" This is probably my favorite track. Somewhat like "Bugaboo" meets "No More (Baby I'ma Do Right)" In it, the girls say, hey, if you're out with your posse, why shouldn't I be with mine? The catchy "Whatch gonna do, whatcha gon do?" It is just irresistable. The tune will stay with you LONG after the album is through. ***** 2. "Let Me Know" A good song, rythm & pop. The girls all sound excellent in this one and actually seem to feel what they're singing. Very girl power, but very good. **** 3. "Get Over Yourself" Well, this is their first single, and while it didn't impress me at first, I love it now. I go around singing it everywhere. Basically just tells some guy to, well, get over himself, goodbye! Great! **** 4. Anywhere But Here: Now this is a great song, weakening girl power. Gotta get away from old love is the theme, but I love the lyrics and the tune is pretty good. ****1/2 5.Love This Way: FINALLY something to show off their voices instead of the band. You HAVE to hear this one. From beginning to end, you'll be snapping your fingers and trying to guess at the lyrics. ***** 6.No Drama: This is my life, right here. "Everytime I see you/ giving me bad news/ I'm gonna let you go/... If you always bring me down/I'm gonna let you go." Just basically says "Hey, start living your own life" and that is the best message you can get from anyone/thing. ***** 7.I Wanna Be Free: It just sounds like "Get Over Yourself" with different lyrics. Sorry, try again, girls. ** 8.Glamorous Life: Second best of the album, but I liked the original. From the updated eighties sound to the matter-of-fact attitude with which it's sung, I think you'll love it as much I do. 9. 1,000 Words (Mil Palabras): Beautiful Spanglish song. The mix of Spanish sections with Eniglish sections makes this one a real winner. With the soft beat and catchy lyrics, you'll be brushing up on your conversational Spanish without even knowing it! **** 10. Two Way: Love IS a two way street, however this song doesn't express that very well. Overdone topic, under par melody. ** 11. It Wasn't Me: Great song! Some girl is spreading nasty rumors about the ladies of Eden's Crush, of course, some rumors aren't completely unfounded... somewhere along the lines of "Oops!.. I Did It Again" (Britney Spears) meets- well, Eden's Crush! Truly wonderful with stunning vocals and a quirky message. ***** 12. "You Know I Can": Pretty love song, but there isn't much feeling in the vocals. Beautiful lyrics and melody, but something is missing in their voices. Worth listening to, though. *** 13."Promise Me" (Hidden Track) Best ballad/love song of the album. Soft sweet lyrics and tender melody make the song one of the most beautiful you've ever heard. ***** Eden's Crush keeps it interesting from the beginning to the end of this superb album, above the average of most pop CDs. One girl group to watch, not just on the WB!

I bought this CD on its debut, & got all the girls' autographs. Too bad they're like non-existent. They were amazing. This was one of the few CDs that i could listen to pretty much all the way through without skipping songs. The songs are well-written, & not too sappy (considering this was all done in like 6 weeks), the beats are great, the girls are beautiful, everything about Eden's Crush is great. I wish they were still around.1. What's Good 4 The Goose A All in all, this is a GREAT buy. These girls are AMAZING.

Best Female Group Out There,
By M. K. (Georgia) - See all my reviews

Too bad that Eden's Crush has seemingly disappeared because they are the real deal. I bought this CD the day of release on May 1, 2001 and more than two years later it still sounds fresh after constant listening. I knew this CD would be great from listening to their debut song Get Over Yourself. On that song the vocals are great, the production is smooth and perfect. The Popstars album gives you 13 songs like that. Their's a great hidden track at the end. Anyone thinking that Eden's Crush isn't talented because they were put together on a reality show, think again.

Great Cd / 5 talented girls,
By music fan (Brooklyn, Ny United States) - See all my reviews

I know most people would mostly compare Eden's Crush w/ O-Town because their both manufactured groups and they each had their own t.v. shows and usually boy bands end up having more fans bcuz of girls that think 1 of the band members are cute and so on. But these 5 girls of Eden's Crush are talented. Their Cdcontains little bit of rap which sounds great in "I Wanna Be Free". It has some latin flavor in "1000 Words"(gotta love this song!). Maybe there are 1 or 2 songs people might not like but all the songs are worth listening to. Best songs on this Cd will have to be "No Drama", Whats Good 4 The Goose", Get Over Yourself", "Let Me Know", "Love This Way", "I Wanna Be Free", and "1000 Words. I would give this cd 4 1/2 stars bcuz on a few songs they edited it like on Whats Good 4 the Goose they took off the rap which would've made this song alot better! Overall the cd is pretty good.

A MATURE SOUND!,
By Pulchrakia (Atlanta, GA United States) - See all my reviews

This CD is really good! Many people may not expect it to be so great because they're a group formed on a tv show. But their talent really shines on this CD. They have a unique sound, and they're not typical pop. They sing about issues they can actually relate to, unlike Dream (who are also a really good group). However, they're too young to sing about some of the stuff they do. Eden's Crush is not! I think the best songs are "What's Good 4 the Goose", "Get Over Yourself", and "Glamorous Life." But really, all of these songs are great! Good job, girls!!

Eden's Crush--A Girl Group with Real talent,

Ok, say you say that you are just not into the "Pop" music, boy/girl band thing. Let me just say that after you listen to this CD, you will think much different.I am a little partial to this group because they are my girls! Ever since I first saw them on the WB's "Popstars", I knew that these girls were destined for stardom. Besides their amazingly beautiful good looks, these girls actually have talent and they all deserved to be Popstars. Every one of these young women have beautiful voices and can more than hold their own against any wanabe girl group of the moment. I have not stopped listening to this CD since the moment I bought it. Every single is what I expected, if not more. There is just not one single song that I can single out as exceptional, because they all are. From "Whats good 4 the goose" all the way to "Promise Me" these songs have something for everyone. Every song shows off their unique voices and they mesh very well together. These girls are so adorable, and I recommend that everyone that is into excellent music pick up this album.

Wow! A wonderful surprise!,

First of all, I have to admit I am a fan of a lot of the "teen pop" music that has become so popular recently... I have never watched the TV show Popstars, but I learned that the group had been created by David Foster and figured hey, Eden's Crush must be pretty darn good then! :) Then Get Over Yourself was released and you have to admit that is a great song. So basically, this is why I bought the album... I really like this album because the songs are cool, catchy, sleek, and showcase the vocal talents of all 5 girls. Their harmonies blend together effortlessly, and the songs carry a message which inspire self-confidence and an independent spirit in girls and women of all ages. "What's Good 4 the Goose," cowritten by the vocal trio Wild Orchid, starts off the album with a sophisticated and upbeat kick which doesn't stop there. My favorite tracks on the album include their first single "Get Over Yourself," a wonderful ballad co-written by David Foster and Linda Thompson included as a bonus track, called "Promise Me," "1,000 Words (Mil Palabras)" which is just a cool song, and a great remake of the Sheila E. classic "Glamorous Life"... This is the perfect album to showcase 5 talented ladies and to cruise to or have in the background while you just want to chill to some great pop music...and no need to press the fast forward button either! Five stars...definitely!
