I have to question anyone who wrote a positive review on this product. Honestly, it is in all reality, about 10 cents worth of flimsy plastic. I have to disagree with the person who said that its the same plastic as you would get covering a product at BestBuy -- the plastic on BestBuy products is stronger and more durable. Using other vent deflectors at home that are hard plastic and have magnets to attach to the vent, I was so incensed with how cheap this product was I felt compelled to write my first ever review on Amazon. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. The only way it could possible work is if the furniture is the perfect height to hold the plastic down on the vent, otherwise any slight gap between the product and the furniture will result in the air flow pushing the vent off the grown and air escaping all around it. Details:

1. The plastic is thin enough to tear with your hands
2. There are no magnets or way to attach the extender to the vent unless you use duct or masking tape
3. Each vent extender comes in two pieces -- one has a rounded end to fit over the vent, the other is a straight piece to extend the extender.....BUT THERE IS NO WAY TO CONNECT THESE TWO PIECES EITHER

GET ORGANIZED -- YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF SELLING THIS PRODUCT. What a crock.....

I purchased this to put over the register that is under a cabinet. It does work to direct the airflow to the edge of the furniture, so that's good. It is a light plastic, but it is certainly thick enough for the type of item. I don't think I'd want it exposed, but then again the smaller ones that we're all used to also get kicked and broken, so I don't think this one is any worse in that department. My major beef is how is it supposed to clip to the register? It comes with nothing that would clip it down. You can get around this as other reviewers have suggested, but when the description says it clips, I want to be able to clip it. I wouldn't recommend it for any area where it will be exposed to feet (human or pet), but under a piece of low furniture it seems to be perfectly fine.

the product worked as promised. Wasn't to concerned with how cheap the plastic was as others stated, because its under my couch, no where visible. The only problem i had with it is it had no magnets that most duct deflectors have to hold it onto the register. But i had a small brick that i placed on top of it and it is working fine. Other than the lack of magnets, this product works perfectly.

As stated by another customer, this is just what I needed for under the couch in my living room. Would like to give it 5 stars but needs to be sturdier plastic and wish I didn't have to tape it to the floor. Otherwise, was pretty much what was advertised and definitely does what I needed it for.

We bought this because our sofa sits over the vent in our living room. We could not find one of these vent extenders anywhere around our local area, When we found this one on Amazon, it was not a hard choice, The extender works as promised but it is made of plastic and is very light. Because of this we find that the product got kicked around a lot and was frequently knocked off the vent. We solved the problem with a little duct tape. Now there are no issues and the heat flows much better from under our sofa.

As a few others have mentioned, this is made with incredibly cheap, thin plastic. It is thinner and more flexible than most plastic packaging material. The picture I saw shows white plastic, but it is actually clear. Given that it is so light/flexible/flimsy, the air from my vent blows it out of position. I'll have to find something to set on top of it like other people have (the problem is that I'm not sure how much clearance I'll have under the furniture). It would definitely be nice to have something a little more rigid. I'm sure you could make a better product yourself and not spend any more money...

This vent extender redirects into the room air which would otherwise be trapped under my entertainment console. It's design is ultra simple. It merely rests on the heat vent and does not attach to it. If this product were intended for use in a location where the extender could be jossled, then there might be cause for concern.

This vent extender is ideal for anyone who has floor registers. I love the freedom of being able to put my furniture anywhere in the room and use the vent extender, you still have the air coming out of the registers.

I bought this product to move the air flow away from going straight up to my plasma tv. Works great! Is just what the description claims it is and does. I was amazed that the air flow did not make the item move around, which I thought it might. Glad I bought this item!

The plastic on this is very flimsy and it is a waste of money. I think it would be dangerous to use as intended.
