My six-year-old watches this show every night, and when he finds an episode that he really likes, he asks me to re-watch it with him.

Informative and interesting for the most part, though outdated in some content areas, and we didn't expect or appreciate the producers' decision to slip in provocative elements like a young woman in a tank top bumping around in slow motion on a roller coaster (obviously intentional because they showed it again in the closing credits of the segment), and the inclusion of a Playboy magazine in the recycling segment. Stuff like that is completely unnecessary and since PMK is a kids' show, it exposes the producers as kinda creepy. Hmmm, wonder which one of them gave those elements the green light....

All of my children and their friends love watching these DVDs. I bought the original DVDs about 5 years ago and was very excited to see episodes that were only available on VHS are now available on DVD. Some of the shows are a little dated but the kids don't seem to mind. They are scientific in a fun, easy to understand way. If your kids are interested in how things work, how things are made or science this is an excellent set to have. I keep them in my car for long trips and my kids have brought them to school for their teachers to show episodes to the class. Our favorites include "Radical Rockets" and the Aquarium episode. Best for ages 6 and up.

I watch this with my son and discuss what we are seeing together and while he learns about the many different topics, he's also entertained as the show has some fun/goofy bits and humor as they deliver the details about whatever the hosts are doing.

Some of the shows in this season are a bit less educational (race cars or toys) but those are still pretty fun to watch.

If your kid likes science or shows about how things work, this is a fine series to enjoy.

Also, given that watching all of the seasons on Prime is free...you can't go wrong!

My five year old really likes watching these episodes....they were probably created over 10 years ago ( not exactly sure) but they are still very informative and very good. We just watched the show about submarines last night.

This is an excellent series for young minds that want to know how things work. It is getting harder to find programming like this.
