Editorial Reviews

Watch out for lightning! Mother Nature unleashes her spectacular natural phenomena as Elisha, Jay, Tyler and Vanessa witness the inner workings of Niagara Falls; an actual lightning storm; and try to get out of the way of an avalanche.

Ice
PMK chills out when Vanessa shows us how Hollywood creates those magical winter snow scenes for the movies. Elisha gets the rink ready for a big hockey game and Tyler goes deep inside NASA’s ice tunnel to discover how airplanes are made safe for flying.

Water
Get your wet suit on! Water, water everywhere as Tyler goes behind Niagara Falls to see how the massive falls keep the electricity flowing and joins a real emergency oil spill clean team. Elisha takes a run down the rocky rapids in an ultra-modern and indestructible raft.

Earth Power
On their most awesome journey yet, Tyler and Elisha brave the elements to experience some spectacular natural phenomena first hand. In Hawaii, Elisha scoops out a cup of molten lava from a volcano while Tyler goes up north to Whistler, BC to set off an avalanche.

Electricity
Get charged to explore the shocking world of…electricity. Elisha and Tyler create a real lightning storm, build a windmill that will help power a whole house, and see the smallest and largest light bulbs ever made.

5.0 out of 5 stars A MUST SEE! November 5, 2006
My son LOVES all of the Popular Mechanics shows. After watching this video

he said " WOW - this was cool!" We were studying about weather and

this just added so much to our lesson. I even suggested this to our

local library collection and they ordered it right away.

AWESOME! These shows are educational but the kids love them. They will willingly turn off a TV show to watch any of the Popular Mechanic CDs.
