A great book for the average automobile owner

I've always loved the PM auto repair articles. Absolutely the best illustrations that leave nothing to the imagination, along with good discussions of options/variations, but kept concise. This book brings together some of the best and most basic auto maintenance procedures from PM and provides a solid understanding of what goes on in and around your car. I'd still recommend a repair manual specific to your car's make and model as a companion reference, but if you want to understand a component and how it works, look to PM to explain it clearly
