Product Description

Product Description

Fun for everyone, Mag-Blocks from Popular Playthings stimulate both imagination and creativity. Playing with Mag-Blocks promotes the development of basic logical thought processes. The Mag-Blocks cube is made up of 24 large, easy-to-handle, colorful pyramids. Held together by magnets, the pyraminds fit together only when the magnets are properly aligned. The solutions are not immediately apparent, even to adults. Children will first have to understand how the blocks fit together -- how magnets attract and repel each other. Then, kids can select one of 20 challenge cards with suggested designs to match. And of course, they can always make up their own designs. The 48-piece set includes pyramids in blue, green , red, yellow, purple and light blue plus 20 challenge cards and instructions. For children age 8 and over.

One of our kids repeatedly checked out a 24pc set of mag blocks from the math resource room at school, any chance the set was available. They where usually checked out by other boys. He sadly stopped when he told me that the school resource room no longer had them.

After purchasing these and wrapping them up, I received a text from our schools Gifted Teacher just yesterday, who sent me the amazon link to this set and let me know how much our child would like to have a set of these. That he really enjoys them. I was happy to tell her he's getting them for Christmas!

This is a "keeper toy". When I purge the toy room there are toys that stay & consistenly get played with. This is one of them. Most toys get rotated around to other Mom-friends or go to Goodwill.

I would NOT let a baby or toddler play with these! The pieces are small enough to fit in childrens mouth and throat, but the shape would probably not entirely block the windpipe. I believe these common sense precautions are listed on the box.

Also, I purchased a big set of VERY expensive Magna Tiles a year earlier that the kids enjoy as well. Mag-Blocks are NOT compatible with the Magna-Tiles set. The magnets placements do not match up well to build with each other.

My boys are 4 and 2. My four year old sat playing with this toy for 40 minutes. My 2 year old came to destroy them with a toy hammer and they didn't break. For both reasons I would rate this an excellent toy. Nice colors. Endless possibilities. I loved playing with them myself.

I got this for my 4 year old daughter. Although she can't do most of the shapes, the fact that they are magnetic makes it super fun for her regardless. I wanted to get the Tegu Blocks but OMG are they expensive. This was my alternative and I think it is a GREAT alternative at 15% of the cost! My 7 year old can do all kinds of stuff with this. I have to admit, I like to play with it as well. Super fun. Going to bring them on the plane ride because they are entertaining for quite a long time.

We received our Mag-Blocks and the whole family has benn having fun this toy. It's amazing how many shapes that you can create with these magnetic blocks. I feel that this toy is not only fun to play with and keeps the kids busy for long stretches of tine, but it's educational as well. They are learning geometry and they don't even know it!

I bought one to keep on the counter in the middle school library for students as a brain game for those empty moments--they play with it all day long--it is in the cube shape or other configurations constantly! Great science and math based game that intrigues students.

I knew these would be a little old for my 4 year old, but the magnets are so oddly placed that it's hard to make even the suggested shapes with them. Overall I'm disappointed.

I'm 13 and i LOVE these blocks. They take some brain power and are really fun. Could play with them for hours! They are very nicely made, too. They are for older kids (maybe smart 6 year olds and up :D). A cool thing is, if you can see in 3D it is really easy. It can kin of be used as a test for that :) my friend who can seee in 3D is soooo good at these :) DEFINITELY RECOMEND!!

Got this for my grandson turning 3 who already has everything, and turned out he LOVED these magnet blocks and even six year old sister couldn't resist them.

I had some trepidation on ordering, since the reviews were mixed and the pricing was less than some similar magnet toys here, but this toy was a hit.

its fun and absorbing and helps with the child's spatial reasoning!
