This 2 volume set has some beautiful colored photos of many rare and unusual conifers. However, one must constantly check the back pages for the many 'corrections' in the photo captions. Very annoying because there are many! As a pictoral reference this 2 volume set would be fine, but for any serious gardener or professional that wants more than just a pretty picture I would not recomend this set. Nothing is included on individual zone hardiness, mature heights,culture,disease and insect problems,or suggested landscape uses. All of which one would expect from a book of this caliper.
