A Classic on population and the environment,
By R. Bagula "Roger L. Bagula" (Lakeside, Ca United States) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Population, Resources, Environment: Issues in Human Ecology (A Series of books in biology) (Hardcover)
With the current death of the frog population the diagram about the food web on the Long Island estuary becomes very important. Global warming shows that less than moderate attention was paid to these great teachers! The advantage of having the population figures for 2000 to compare to the with the appendix 2 U.N. projections, shows that the "medium" Variant actually happened ( this after both China and India had major political and unpopular population programs). If the human race continues on the current course of environmental violation and mostly uncontrolled population expansion, there is a big 'correction' / black swan event on the way. |
