HUGE surprise,

When I FINALLY opened my cookie jar (a month after I received it), I was amazed at the size. I had expected something smaller and heavier. The base is clear and more fragile than I expected it to be. The top is heavier than the base (which I thought would be leaded glass, but was thinner).
Slightly disappointed it wasn't MADE IN AMERICA; but it's cute and I love clowns! This cookie jar was replacing one broken by squirrels that got into my cabin. I live frugally and almost like camping to some. Lots of natures creatures come in for 'visits' and my other ceramic jar got the lid knocked off and busted to smitherenes. This replacement LID is quite heavy and I've now located it beside the microwave in a different 'less likely to get pushed off and busted' place! I enjoy it because my favorite color is blue as is most trim, tiles in my kitchen. Perfect fit for me! Good to know that if THIS one gets broken, I can get a duplicate and frustrate the heck out of the squirrels. (Hey, didn't we break that one before?)....LOL |
