I have been using the Algonquin Porch Calendar since 2000.
It was given to me as a gift that year. At that time I found
the theme of porches different and interesting but I liked
most the variety of colors for the days of the month. I know
of no other calendar who does this. I've purchased it ever
since.

This used to be a wonderful calendar. However, Algonquin redesigned it in 2008, and it became garish, frenetic, and in all other ways, ugly. Unfortunately, a friend who didn't know any better gave me this year's version as a gift, so I can see the publishers opted to not listen to all the complaints posted last year, and have repeated all the same mistakes. It's already in the recycling bin, and I've ordered Willow Creek's "A View From the Porch" as a replacement. Hopefully, my friend won't notice the change, but I simply couldn't stand looking at Algonquin's version every day, particularly when knowing how beautiful their calendar used to be.
