You and Willie "The Lion" Smith, December 22, 2004

I bought the CD because it was on sale and I felt obligated to have at least one of his recordings in my collection.
Boy, did I luck out! It's like having Willie "The Lion" Smith right there with you playing the "pianna" and reminiscing. Just delightful. Every time I listen I get the same impression of him playing, stopping for a few asides about the music, and then, swiveling back to the piano, breeze his way through another song or two until, struck by a thought, he pausing to say something else before returning to his playing.
The 42 minutes whiz by. You'll be glad you bought it.
