This review is from: Porkpie (Paperback)
Helena Swann is a socialite vacationing in Las Vegas who stumbles across a horrifying murder scene. Not wanting to get involved, she walks away, confident no one has seen her. On her flight home to San Francisco, she meets handsome Sam Porter, unaware he is a dangerous ex-con, the man responsible for the two mutilated corpses she saw. Thus begins PORKPIE, a hard-boiled epic that Kirkus Discoveries called a "sprawling saga ... fast-paced and well-written ..." The story unfolds from multiple viewpoints and races through a number of high-profile cities. The denouement unfolds in Newport, RI where Helena has fled after betraying Sam and disgracing her family. Highly recommended for hard-core pulp fiction and noir fans.
