This review is from: Porky! [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video contains the first Porky cartoon as well as the first cartoon directed by Bob McKimson. I'll rate each cartoon for you now:
I Haven't Got a Hat: B
I give it a "B" solely based on the fact that it introduced Porky who went on to become their first big star.
I Love to Singa: A-
Not a Porky cartoon but a great departure directed by Tex Avery.
Brother Brat: A
WWII themed cartoon with fast action.
Little Orphan Airedale: A-
Only an "A-" because it is a remake of a cartoon Clampett did 6 years prior. But, Chuck Jones' direction brings this cartoon into the "A" range definitely.
Daffy Doodles: A+
Bob McKimson's first cartoon. He would go on to direct many other great ones besides this one. Also, he would go on to create Foghorn Leghorn, Hippety Hopper, Sylvester Jr., Speedy Gonzales, and the Tazmanian Devil.
Baby Bottleneck: A+
A Bob Clampett masterpiece!
Kitty Kornered: A+
Another Bob Clampett masterpiece!!
My Favourite Duck: A
This particular cartoon is on more compilation tapes than any other. That says something.
