4.0 out of 5 stars A fine quick reference for the next time you're surfing the used 911 listings, November 19, 2006
This review is from: Porsche 911 Red Book 1965-2005 (Paperback)
The Red Book is logically organized by model year series, and within each series Paternie highlights the changes year-over-year. VIN numbers can be easily bracketed into the various production runs, and engine/drivetrain specs, suspension, wheel, and braking setups, interior trim/color combinations, and various special edition anomalies are all well presented. My own 911 search is currently ongoing, but the Red Book has helped me very quickly narrow down my choice range and verify new offerings as I encounter them.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good reference for looking up your VIN., January 25, 2007

Also provides a nice summary for each type of the 911 family. Unfortunately, the black and white pictures don't do the Porsches enough justice, so don't buy this book as a photo album.
