Porsche 917: Zuffenhausen's Le Mans and Can-Am Champion
This is a nicely produced, 125 page book, which would be a nice addition to any 917 library. It is not long on written detail, but there is enough to tell the story of the car's history from the original 917 to the 917-30. It is all black and white except for the excellent picture on the cover. Most of the pictures are new to me. Good pictures of the flat 12 engine...

Somewhat disappointing 917 history
Karl Ludvigsen's latest work isn't terribly impressive. After a mere three pages of text, are a hundred-twenty odd pages of photographs of 917s, some new, many familiar. And not one of them, save the cover is in color. Any reader interested in the Porsche 917 would be better advised to try Peter Morgan's book instead. It is full of color, specifications, text, race...

Somewhat disappointing 917 history, January 19, 2007
This review is from: Porsche 917: Zuffenhausen's Le Mans and Can-Am Champion (Ludvigsen Library Series) (Paperback)
It is full of color, specifications, text, race results, and driver impressions; in short, all that is lacking in Mr. Ludvigsen's.

Porsche 917: Zuffenhausen's Le Mans and Can-Am Champion, February 6, 2007
This review is from: Porsche 917: Zuffenhausen's Le Mans and Can-Am Champion (Ludvigsen Library Series) (Paperback)

It is all black and white except for the excellent picture on the cover. Most of the pictures are new to me. Good pictures of the flat 12 engine and other parts. The story, mostly in picture captions, covers the 917 from its original form, through the 917-K and 917-L to the spyders and eventually the Can-Am 917-10 and 917-30. A highly recommended book.
