Peter Morgan has done an excellent job of taking what could be a dry and technical subject and making it an easy and enjoyable read. If you like the Porsche 956/962 series of race cars, this book is a must-have, with outstanding pictures and text that helps explain the origins of the cars as well as the fascinating technical background - and all in such a way that even a novice to the world of sports car racing would understand and enjoy. And did I mention that the pictures in this book are outstanding?

As a fan of prototype race cars especially the Porsche 956/962 it's nice to finally see a book on this. Haynes publshing and Peter Morgan do it again with another detailed, thoroughly researched book on Porsches. Great photos with coverage of the IMSA series, Group C and races in Japan. A chassis record and race results are included. I highly recommend this book!!

This book covers the 956/962 Group C/IMSA/Japan Prototype era Porsches. Excellent photos and storyline about the evolution of one of most famous racing cars of the 80s.

Please do a book on the 935 and 936!!

Well worth the money. Their 917 and F1 books are also top notch, especially the photos.

As a long time fan and witness to many 956/962 racing wins, and one who has met some of the drivers mentioned in this book, I highly recommend this book to Porsche racing fans. One of the surprising aspects of the book is its insights into the personalities and technologies that played out during their dominance of this era. Very insightful and informative, lots of quotes from drivers, engineers, CEO's and designers too. Many color pictures adds to the enjoyment !

Excellent picturs, and data on the cars. I reccommend this book, although amazon packing was not the best.
