Lacking in many respects,

I am glad I bought this book from Costco, as it does not warrant the high prices I have seen elsewhere. It falls short in many aspects, here are a few of them:
1. It is paperback, at the recommended retail price it should be hardback. 2. It is multi-language so the English text only contitutes a small part of the actual text content diluting the value and reading experience even further. 3. The English text is poorly translated and edited from German and while some may find this to their liking I feel it spoils the overall quality and experience of this book. The photos I will admit are on the whole very good and I feel the price I paid made it worthwhile.

My mom's boyfriend is a huge fan of Porsches and I wanted to get him a nice book to peruse. This book is phenomenal - filled with great photos, good info about specs and whatnot, and a bit of history. More of a coffee table book than anything, it's great to just pick up and look at gorgeous photos - interiors, exteriors, the cars' inner workings, etc.
Highly recommended for the Porsche fan on your list. Captions are in three languages: English, French, and (of course) German.
