The saw is made in China.

There are 86 cutting teeth ,and the teeth thickness is only 0.04 inches (using a caliper to measure).
The cutting portion of the saw is about 18.5 inches in length.
The description states the metal is of "spring steel", which it is not. It seem to be made of a softer steel of unknown type.
The saw became dull after cutting 4 braches about 1 1/2 inch thick. Average cutting time to cut through a 1 1/2 inch branch is about 2 1/2 minutes when the saw is sharp, and cutting time increased to 3 1/2 minutes with the saw dull.
The size of the handle straps are small and tight fitting on larger hands. The straps are showing wear after using the saw six times.
The pouch is made of nylon with a vinyl lining inside and button snap to keep flap close. The button snap does not hold tight and the flap opens easily.
Overall this product works but may not last very long.

This saw works like magic on small branches but don't try and use it on larger trees; its not ment for them and you'll break them

It's a little lighter than I thought it would be but it seems to work well enough for everyday carry and it keeps your pack light if you're using it for a survival kit. They must have made some changes according to another review because the pouch seems large enough and has a protective coating on the inside. Mine didn't come that sharp and I'll have to sharpen it myself. I tried it out on a limb and it cut right through without any problems.

This is the best hand saw i have ever come across. I was skeptikal when i first bought it but after the first log i cut through i was very impresssed. Extremely lightweight. Comes with a nice pouch with belt loop. Great for hiking'

I bought this because I'm an avid mountain biker and occasionally come across large branches or small trees that have ended up across the trail and need to be removed.

I used it for the first time yesterday and was kind of disappointed because it just wasn't cutting very fast at all. It's more of a grinding action, rather then actually CUTTING.
I wish I had gone with the type that has actual chain saw teeth on it. I believe that style would cut faster. I cheaped out, and now I'm paying for it! HA!

The other problem was that it binds up if you are using it by yourself. It worked better if you have another person take the other end, so that the chain is straightened out, rather then in a tight "U" shape like it is when one person uses it.

Ultimately, I think I will go back to a folding saw. I had one before and lost it. They are just so sharp, and remove wood fast and easy. Of course the down side is their size and having to pack something that large in your backpack, but I think it's worth it, because what's the point of having something small and compact like this chain saw, if it doesn't really work?!

It works great. I used it on some good size limbs. I would give it 5 stars but the carrier is a little too small.

Finally used this today to cut up some wood. Did the job just fine. Cuts clean. Minimal work (pending on size of wood you're cutting) Two thumbs up. If and when this ever reaches the end of it's life, I'll be sure to buy another. Thanks for a great product!

Took this thing out of its package and noticed right away its SHARP!!! I havent used it yet but sure it will do the job! It comes with a little pouch with a loop for a belt. However, getting it into the pouch took several trys of wrapping that sharp little thing into a small enough circle!! It will fit, but if your in a hurry its not gonna happen. They could make the pouch a little bit bigger!
