Purchased these from Amazon and I agree with previous review - packaging was pitiful - I got books with better shipping. Nails were swimming around in the box, and nearly burst it open. These nails are useless or time consuming if they are broken up. I cannot send them back, because (1) it is a PIA and (2) I need to get the work done now. I am really going to have to find a local source. BTW - I love the nails and my Porta-nailer.

The product was great, the packaging was pitiful. Two of the boxes of nails were open and scattered thoughout the box. Since these nails are attached to use in the nailer, the loose nails had broken apart and were usless.

Not much to review about a box of nails but...

Save your money on the Porta Nail nailset. I use standard round nail set which works fine. I'm now into my 10th box of nails so it isn't beginner's luck.

I live near Lowe's, which sells them for $23, so even with shipping and the crummy packaging they are much cheaper through Amazon as long as I can wait.

Just a great item,hard to find! But worth the time!
I ordered two boxes but they came in separate boxes? Go figure?

Nails were packed very poorly in light cardboard box, received box split open totally damaging inside boxes of nails, nails were missing from open hole in box. Dissappointed.

Hassle to return and you pay the shipping.
Will not order again.

I heartily agree with the other comments here about the terrible packaging job Amazon did. The nails were shipped in an overly large box with some air-pack bubbles thrown casually in with them. Manufacturer's box was ripped open during handling and the nails were broken and scattered all over. The manufacturer's box needs to be tightly packed in the outer shipping carton or these nails will be useless upon arrival.

I called Amazon and to their credit, they shipped me another box gratis, but I was delayed in a project until getting more nails.

Items arrived roughly handled and many of the nails were broken loose from their glue strips. This made loading the nailer more time consuming as I had to load a bunch of small cluster of nails rather then 1 complete strip at a time.

Waiting to get to work, my Amazon package arrived this morning with an electronics cable instead of the nails (which I was delighted to find on Amazon at a reasonable price).

The package was delivered opened (at a perforated fold) and with no packing slip, so I'm assuming that the nails fell out and a FedEx worker mistakenly replaced them with the electronics cable.

These nails are great and I'm 3/4 of the way through my flooring job. Just wish I didn't have to take a day off today while I wait for the replacement shipment from Amazon.

Bottom line - these are the right nails at a good price but be prepared for shipping problems.

Ordered online and they arrived intact. I guess I was lucky after reading some of the other reviews, although I have never had a poorly packaged item from Amazon. Nails do what they are supposed to do, hold down a wood floor.

It also bend easy when not seated compleatly with the Porta Nailer and you need to a hamer and a driver to seat it.
