Actually, this is more of a camera equipment protection and transportation system than a camera bag. While it does come with the most comfortable shoulder strap I've used it is really meant to help get your equipment to the shooting location.

The bag itself has rigid sides and is extremely well padded. While I would trust a "normal" high quality bag to protect my equipment from a fall of several feet I would expect this tank of a bag to provide protection from a fall of several stories. It's perfect for carry-on and easily fits into an overhead compartment or under the seat. For extra protection, it is designed to slip into a ruggedized and lockable PortaBrace Hard Case.

I have been able to configure the inside of the bag in many ways. With the included short, long, rigid, and flexible dividers I have been able to adjust as needed for different combinations of bodies, lenses, flashes, radio triggers ... well, you get the idea. That makes getting things unloaded when I arrive and packed up when it's time to leave easy and fast.

One of the nice touches are the two included "lens cups." These are zipper pouches, which give a couple lenses a bit of extra protection while they're in the bag. When I get to the shoot, they pull out and hook securely to my belt with two layers of Velcro.

One potential problem is an expectation that you can hang this bag from your shoulder and use it while you are shooting. This bag isn't that. With the exception of the two lens cups, this bag is meant to stay put once you get to where you are going. The good news for me in the two months I've been using it is that everything is intact and easily accessible when I get there.
