let me start by saying that I bought this to convert and mount to my dewalt stand because dewalt does not have anything like this, and they should. Two things, the vise itself is decent and will come in handy for a lot of jobs most of us do.

The second is, converting this to fit my dewalt was not as simple as I had hoped which has nothing to do with the product or manufacturer. I thought the four mounting bolts would slip right on my dewalt brackets, the spacing doesn't work and interferes with the bracket. But, I made an adapter plate from two lengths of 1" flat stock that I got at the big orange box store. I drilled four holes and was able to mount it. if you have a portamate, this is a nice addtion, and with a little inginuity you can make this fit other models as well.
