Portababy Play Yard Mattress Pad - White

We ordered this mattress pad for our baby's playard and did not realize until it arrived that it is simply a quilted sheet that lays flat on top of the mattress. It is not fitted, so the pad does not wrap around the sides nor does it "zip" around the mattress, as the name implies. If you are just looking for a padded sheet to use, then this seems like it would work well, but it was not the product we were looking for so we returned it for something more suitable.

I dont' know why this is being marketed for play yards. It is a full size CRIB mattress pad that goes under the Clouds and Stars Quick Zip sheet system... a MUST HAVE by the way. We have twins and it is the first thing other twins moms advised me to get. Wish I would have invented them!

QuickZip Sheet Set - White

Although this isn't as thick as I thought it would be, in conjunction with the quilted sheet we purchased for our pack and play, it really makes a nicely padded mattress for the baby. With our older child, we could not get her to sleep in the pack and play, and I truly believe most of it had to do with the hard, thin mattress that comes with the playyard. I do not think that this by itself with a simple, unpadded fitted sheet on top is enough to compensate for the lack of padding in the stock mattress. Do yourself a favor and order a Carter's fitted quilted velour sheet or something similar. Our playyard measures 26 inches by almost 39 inches and these fit very well, leaving no gaps, even in the "bassinette" function of our pack and play. We have yet to try this with our baby as our baby is not due for a few weeks yet, but I am very encouraged and hopeful that this will be much more comfortable than the stock mattress alone with a fitted sheet. I will update later.

I bought this for my grandson's Chicco Play Yard. I had read reviews on the Chicco Play Yard where parents were very satisfied with the Play Yard and many wrote they WISHED the Play Yard mattress was a bit thicker. So... I bought this Portababy Play Yard Mattress Pad and added it to the Chicco Mattress and the outcome was a soft and very comfy mattress under the sheets! It is machine washable and although the parents have not needed to wash it yet (baby 4 days old) we accomplished what we had intended ... which was to enhance the existing Play Yard mattress! I have no reason at this point to give this product anything less than 5 stars! RECOMMENDED!

My newborn baby had to sleep in her pack and play for the first 2 months and this mattress pad added a little more comfort. Great product and would recommend it to anyone.
