Did you know that a 9v. battery can cause a fire if the terminals are shorted (i.e., anything metallic touches the + and - terminals). Such a fire could burn your house down! 9v. batts. must ALWAYS be kept in a non-conductive (plastic) container (or in the original cardboard container) until ready for use. One error -- in the photo for this item, the batteries are placed in the case backwards! The terminals should be facing the outside edges of the box -- away from the terminals of the batteries in the other two slots. There is even a nice little cut out area where the terminals should go -- it is slightly narrower that the width of the cut-out for the battery itself. This is a nifty little case and I would have given it 5 stars if the photo had been correct. BTW, I am an electrical engineer and know whereof I speak.
Plain and simple: it works exactly like the photo shows. I would suggest a simple labeling system to keep track of which batteries are charged and which ones are discharged (if you're using them with rechargeables).
I'm using this case to hold my Tenergy Rechargeable 9v Batteries so they don't accidentally short out each other or any one of the metal plates and adapters in my camera bag. I wouldn't want to take that risk, especially when the solution is so simple!
It makes keeping track of the batteries between charges easier too. This is a very simple product for a great price.
Excellent companion for the AA, CR123 and AAA battery cases. All of them have identical size, can be conveniently arranged in stack, are well made and seem durable (I use the AA case for a couple of years now without any issues). Each case for different battery type has different color, so I can easily pick the right case from the stack. Highly recommended.
I thought that this would be some cheap plastic storage container....boy was I wrong. This has rubber feet on it as well as rubber dividers that hold 4 batteries. It has a little weight to it which gives it a quality feel. The plastic itself is a thick quality too. If you're serious about transporting 9V batteries around then this a superior case!
We use them for the few 9 volt battery devices we have. Same size as AAA and AA cases. All the Batteries and cells fit neatly together. Different color makes it easy to find the battery or cell you're looking for.
I found this while looking for some more of the AAA holders that were not available for quite awhile. Ordered one to check the quality. It is a high quality holder for a reasonable price. Since it is from the same people I get the AA and AAA holders from, I expect it to last many years.
