When it is constantly running, it seems to work to reduce odors. But it must cycle on and off, because about half the time my refrigerator smells like garlic and onions. Baking soda worked much better. I just tried this to avoid changing the baking soda and in case it did actually help produce life. I saw it reviewed on the Today Show. I am no longer listening to ANY of their product reviews as they seem to do no testing themselves.

I must admit I was a little skeptical about what this might do. My Mom bought the same one from QVC about a year ago and has been trying to talk me into it for about a year now. I finally broke down and got one myself. Wow, what a difference it has made in my refrigerator. I have greens in there that last 2 weeks or more. I recently used up the last of my Spinach,it had been in my fridge for almost 3 weeks and was still good. I have absolutely no odors. Yes the ionizer powered off a couple of times but when I changed the batteries to a name brand instead of the ones that they sent with it, it powered on and stayed on, no problems since. I must admit I have had some things go bad in the fridge, but it depends on a couple of things. If they were placed in a good container and/or if they were a quality product to begin with. I am relating to the bags of salad that I get at the dollar store do not keep as long as the whole heads that I get from my local food store. The container theory is important as well, as it won't really save much from going bad if you leave it in an open container. You must put the vegetable matter in a "green" bag or some kind of lock&lock container. But if you do you will see your produce lasts a heck of a lot longer than when the ionizer wasn't in your fridge.

This works but it doesnt run for very long - so you have to keep turning it on - I have another onve called a "catmouse" that plugs on that is much better.

I am SO happy I purchased this!! I had a REALLY bad smell in my fridge but this little thing took care of it overnight! Now my fridge smells fresh and clean and even if I put leftovers in the fridge it never smells! I would definiely suggest buying this if you have a funky odor and need it gone fast!

BTW, baking soda, vinegar, and lemons couldn't get rid of the smell but this little thing did the job super fast.

Ever since it was new, there's always been a "refrigerator smell" in my top-mounted freezer. Couldn't make edible ice cubes, and plastic bags absorbed the odors also. Since I've had this little gadget, the smell is GONE! Wish I'd found it sooner.

I bought as it was the ONLY battery powered Air cleaner I could find. It has two settings, there are NO directions as to what the settings are. It is terribly difficult to figure out if it is off or on?

Near as I can tell it does not clean that I can tell. Worthless!

Great concept. Bought 2. One for bad fridge odors after Thanksgiving and one to put near the cat litter to rid the odor in a bathroom. . The description made me think this air purifier would work in these situations. Wrong. Not sure if it works in any situation.

Some ozone emission, but acceptable. Most importantly it does emit a stream of electrons to ionize the air Oxygen! In a refrigerator this does wonders to precipitating malodorous gases in the refrigerator.
