It literally fell apart.
Paco Mar
It worked for a time, a time being two weeks, and after that the plug became loose, forcing me to have to wiggle it around and keep it in a certain position to work.
Noah
For me, the plug that would connect to my computer WAS right side up, but all of the ports were upside down.

I received 2 one for my wife's laptop and the other for my tablet. they took up a minimum space and worked with out a single problem. They both rotate and flip perfectly. Thanks!

I liked how it turns a single USB into four -pretty low profile, so it seemed the best of what I'd seen for my laptop, but I wasn't counting on the night light. It's got an LED indicator light that's got some lumens. Covered it with electrical tape, and it still shines through!
Update: About a week later, I'm sad to say this product is not very well constructed; the housing has detached from the USB slot that plugs into the computer :(
The design loads some pressure there, especially after connecting things, and the build quality (cheap plastic) ensures it's not going to put up with the jostling a laptop normally faces. It literally fell apart.

This Hub works MOST of the time. It seems to lose its connection even though there is no movement of the laptop. Whatever is connected with the Hub works on and off with no rhyme or reason. Maybe too heavy to hold in correct position?

This USB hub fits snugly against the side (either side)of my computer, and therefore does not clutter up my desktop. One of the ports will swing up or down if you want it to; occasionally, I have had two USB devices that were too big to fit side-by-side on a strip-type hub (or even the computer itself), and this swing feature solves that problem. The white flower design on the black hub is attractive, and a little different from plain-jane hubs. All-in-all, a great product, highly recommended.

Doesn't stay in the computer. If you look at it wrong it'll disconnect, then only load one thing. Not worth it, look elsewhere.

Like the title says, it works, but it's definitely not a quality product.

I wanted to use it with my laptop (the HP Envy-14 Beats Edition) because I keep running out of USB ports and it was the only thing I could find that I thought I'd be able to just keep on my laptop when I walk around with it. My laptop has 3 USB ports, one of which doubles as eSATA. There are 2 ordinary USB ports on the left side and one USB/eSATA port on the right side. I keep the receiver for my Logitech wireless mouse plugged into the USB/eSATA port on the right side and I keep the connector for my external speakers plugged into one of the USB ports on the left side. This leaves one port to plug in all of my other USB devices. I have a USB microphone, a USB-powered cooling pad, multiple USB flash drives, a USB external hard drive, a camera with a USB cord, an iPad, an iPod, and a cell phone. While I don't think I've ever wanted all of these things plugged in at one time, it would definitely be convenient to be able to have more than one (or two, if the cooling pad is one, since it has a pass-through plug) device plugged in. So I was looking for a USB hub that I could keep plugged into the second USB port on the left side of my laptop, and this one looked perfect.

However, it wouldn't fit in next to the plug for my speakers. This left me with a few options: 1) rotate it to be vertical so it would fit; 2) put it in the other port on the left side and allow it to cover the one I wanted it to be in; or 3) plug it in on the right side and connect the receiver for my mouse either through the hub or on the other side.
Option 1 would have worked, but was less than ideal. Rotating the hub vertically caused the pretty flower design to face away from me, which I didn't like.

This item was exactly what I was looking for: small horizontal footprint when attached to the laptop (or a tablet)! But the USB was installed in the casing upside down, making the swivel feature impractical/impossible to use. To be clear, when you install it on your laptop, the flower design faces down and although the swivel port is available for use, you can't swivel it to the normal "pointing up" position, only to the down position, pointing to the surface the laptop is sitting on. I have contacted the seller and will update once I get this resolved.

The item inserts firmly enough into the USB port but there is a lot of play in it and it can be easily rocked from side to side when installed and comes out fairly easily if you exert a little pull. I plan to leave it on the laptop for the most part and the laptop is stationary on a desk. I don't have to touch it unless I need to install a device to use on the computer. If you move your laptop around a lot, though, you might want to make sure to uninstall it before you move it and keep the hub out until needed.

For the price, it's a good value and worth buying.

Update: Received a response from seller and this was it: "Sincerely sorry to hear that the problem. Please kindly be noted you could open the shell and change the direction and then close the shell. Could you please kindly try it again? If there is still a problem please tell us freely."

Very polite answer but not what I expected! I could have returned it for a refund but then I would still need a USB hub that offered the features it has. But because I am a techie and love fixing things, I followed the advice. It now looks like it should and still functions properly. I won't buy from this buyer again, though, since they put the responsibility on the buyer for defects. What if I hadn't had the skill/knowledge/desire/courage to do this, easy as it was? Hmmmm!
