I received 2 one for my wife's laptop and the other for my tablet. they took up a minimum space and worked with out a single problem. They both rotate and flip perfectly. Thanks!

I liked how it turns a single USB into four -pretty low profile, so it seemed the best of what I'd seen for my laptop, but I wasn't counting on the night light. It's got an LED indicator light that's got some lumens. Covered it with electrical tape, and it still shines through!
Update: About a week later, I'm sad to say this product is not very well constructed; the housing has detached from the USB slot that plugs into the computer :(
The design loads some pressure there, especially after connecting things, and the build quality (cheap plastic) ensures it's not going to put up with the jostling a laptop normally faces. It literally fell apart.

This USB hub fits snugly against the side (either side)of my computer, and therefore does not clutter up my desktop. One of the ports will swing up or down if you want it to; occasionally, I have had two USB devices that were too big to fit side-by-side on a strip-type hub (or even the computer itself), and this swing feature solves that problem. The white flower design on the black hub is attractive, and a little different from plain-jane hubs. All-in-all, a great product, highly recommended.

This Hub works MOST of the time. It seems to lose its connection even though there is no movement of the laptop. Whatever is connected with the Hub works on and off with no rhyme or reason. Maybe too heavy to hold in correct position?

I have a new Toshiba laptop that only has 3 USB ports and one is occupied by a bluetooth dongle. Since the speakers are poor sounding, in my opinion, I also purchased the Logitech Z305 USB sound bar to keep plugged in. This leaves me only one available USB port which will be taken up frequently to charge my iPhone.

The reviews for this 4-port USB were mixed but I decided to purchase it due to the low price and the need for additional USB ports.

I had no issues plugging in various devices and having my laptop recognize each one. This hub has three ports on the side and one at the end. The middle section of the hub has a swivel USB connector which is a nice feature, especially if you have a wide card reader like the one I own. I can swivel the connector upwards to accomodate the card reader without hindering any flash drives that maybe connected.

Because this plug extends 3 to 4 inches, you will have to take some care when plugging in other peripherals. My Toshiba laptop rest on an elevated, angled stand to keep the air flow underneath and to keep it cool. The causes the hub to be about 3 inches above any surface. Despite this, I did not have any issues with it coming loose with my iPhone plugged in the side and the Logitech Z305 speaker bar plugged in at the end. On my laptop the hub connects with the flower design facing upward and the facing toward the back of the laptop which is perfect for my use. I also have a USB swivel adapter that will come in handly should I use the hub on a different laptop/netbook/desktop I own, to keep the hub in the correct position.

Although, the hub is lightweight and does not appear super-sturdy, it is working fine for my uses. Hopefully, over time and more use, it will continue to work well.

Since the price is under $7, I would recommend the 4-port hub as an inexpensive investment to add more USB ports.

This item was exactly what I was looking for: small horizontal footprint when attached to the laptop (or a tablet)! But the USB was installed in the casing upside down, making the swivel feature impractical/impossible to use. To be clear, when you install it on your laptop, the flower design faces down and although the swivel port is available for use, you can't swivel it to the normal "pointing up" position, only to the down position, pointing to the surface the laptop is sitting on. I have contacted the seller and will update once I get this resolved.

The item inserts firmly enough into the USB port but there is a lot of play in it and it can be easily rocked from side to side when installed and comes out fairly easily if you exert a little pull. I plan to leave it on the laptop for the most part and the laptop is stationary on a desk. I don't have to touch it unless I need to install a device to use on the computer. If you move your laptop around a lot, though, you might want to make sure to uninstall it before you move it and keep the hub out until needed.

For the price, it's a good value and worth buying.

Update: Received a response from seller and this was it: "Sincerely sorry to hear that the problem. Please kindly be noted you could open the shell and change the direction and then close the shell. Could you please kindly try it again? If there is still a problem please tell us freely."

Very polite answer but not what I expected! I could have returned it for a refund but then I would still need a USB hub that offered the features it has. But because I am a techie and love fixing things, I followed the advice. It now looks like it should and still functions properly. I won't buy from this buyer again, though, since they put the responsibility on the buyer for defects. What if I hadn't had the skill/knowledge/desire/courage to do this, easy as it was? Hmmmm!
