This gives off a very soothing green light (there are also other colors). It was a great help when our electricity went out recently. It has a pleasant light in general but also has a very bright light option that helped in finding our way around the house in the dark. I'm definitely going to order more.

We bought one of these for our eldest daughter and she loves it! It emits a perfect low amount of light for sleeping when on the cradle. Once removed from the cradle you can carry it with you to see where you are going at night without turning on lights or having night lights all over your house. The thing seems to be virtually indestructible. I don't know how many times it's been dropped and it still works fine! We have since bought additional units for our other children and even for our kitchen and family room in case of power outages. When the power goes out the cradle stops recharging and the light automatically switches to the bright white led lights so you don't get stuck fumbling around in the dark for a flashlight. We would highly recommend this product to any parent in search of a cool looking, functional night light that will hold up to your kids use!

Finally a night light with some style (vs. those cheesey wall plug-in lights). In fact, I'm buying a few more as Christmas presents for those trendy folks who have everything!
