This beanbag style mount works great for my Tom Tom XL340s, and stays in place on acceleration and cornering. The suction cup of the Tom Tom stays attached to the shiny surface inset in the square-shaped bag, and the unit can be tilted up or down without problems. I have tried the circular and semi-circular bean bag mounts from other manufacturers, and the short "stem" of the XL340s and the 4.3 inch screen prevent it from being tilted downwards on these other designs. As others have noted, however, unlike the illustration with the product, it shouls be oriented in a "diamond" configuration for maximum stability.

This is excellent. It's big and heavy and has a grippy bottom. For 10 dollars I didn't know if it would be 50g and the size of a peanut, or something that actually worked. This thing is actually bigger and heavier than I expected!

People keep giving these mounts bad reviews because of the suction mount not working, but that is stupid. The problem with the suction mount has nothing to do with the bean bag mount itself! Those suction mounts don't even work on windshields, so why would it work on this bean bag mount. More importantly, if the suction is no good, why is that the fault of the bean bag? It's not! Giving this product a bad rating because of deficiencies in the manufacturer supplied suction mount makes NO SENSE.

I took the mounting disk, removed the adhesive from it and stuck it right on the bottom of the suction mount. That should do the job.

The base stays put, but when we put the suction cup attached to the Tom Tom onto proper place, it keeps sliding off; so we stopped using it. Very disappointed.

I am very pleased with the performance of this device. I travel weekly for work and use it in a multitude of vehicles. And it stays fixed on the dashboards of many different rental cars. Yes, it is best used when placed on a diagonal/diamond orientation on the dashboard, as illustrated in the directions. It has a decent weight, as it doesn't appear that it would be a solid product just by looking at the picture. My TomTom suction cup mounts perfectly to the acrylic center mount. And once secured, it very rarely falls off (unless there was a user error in mounting it correctly). I would highly recommend this inexpensive product to meet the needs for a portable dashboard console device.

Perfect. Does exactly what it is supposed to do just as it is supposed to do it. Very stable, GPS unit adheres perfectly. No issues at all.

since i received this product i sold my old bean bag that i bought at radio shack and have order another one.great bag that has more clearence between the gps and the bag.its half the price and received it long befor estamated date

I like this so much more than the bracket that hangs on the windshield. It stays in position and bring the gps closer. Highly recommend this product.

I am using this with my Tom Tom 130S in my 2002 Highlander. I like to keep the unit in the peft corner of the dashboard. This combination fits perfectly in that location and seems very secure. I am also able to position the Tom Tom and the perfect angle for viewing. There is nothing specific about this pad for Tom Tom use. It should work with any GPS that has a mount that can be positioned vertically.
