4.0 out of 5 stars A Great Book, May 2, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: The Portable Queen: Elizabeth I and the Politics of Ceremony (Massachusetts Studies in Early Modern Culture) (Hardcover)
One cannot fully study Elizabeth I without encountering the issues of ceremony and progress. Cole does a wonderful job of exploring the issues and reasons behind Elizabeth's progresses, and why they were crucial to her reign. I highly recomend the book for all interested in the subject, and for any history student.
