I didn't think that this piano would actually work. But I was willing to try it. It did work! It is light weight and I carry it in my tote bag. I can take it out a play it during my lunch break or whenever I need to hear a certain chord. I believe I got my money's worth. I look forward to buying another one in the near future.

It will be cool to have a roll up piano in which the keys are raised instead of being totally flat!

Having started a children's keyboard class, I was on the market for child-friendly, quality yet economical portable keyboards. I needed five, so price was one of my top concerns, although I was willing to pay up to $100 each if I thought it was worth it. I was skeptical about Jobar's Roll a Piano initially, as were some of the other reviewers, but I thought for $30 bucks it was worth a try. As the other reviewers who gave it 5 stars, I found the roll-a-piano to be quite easy to play and a decent sound (for a toy). It does work best on a smooth, flat surface, such as a desk or table. However, it plays well on carpet, which is where my kids will most likely be playing. Jobar's roll a piano also has 99 rhythms and 15 tones, which kids will enjoy exploring. It is very light-weight--I'm able to carry all 5 in the original packaging, along with other materials, to and from my class in one trip.

I also tried the roll up keyboards by Yamano ($110) and Beijing Imports ($70). I liked the Yamano very much but decided to stick with Jobar's roll a piano because it was more economical and played just as well. I do not recommend the Beijing Imports roll up keyboard at all! The keys are slow to respond or do not respond at all. I should note that the Yamano and Beijing keyboards have 61-keys, while Jobar's has only 22 keys (perfect for a child).

As I said my son is 8 and really likes it. It is a bit dodgy. It has to be on a very flat surface to work properly.

He still like it though. The head phone feature is great!!! So when he practices I don't have to hear it unless he needs help.

Over all as a toy its a 4. Saving me from needing a piano its a 7.

This works great!
No problems with dead keys.
I'm not a piano player, but I
love singing. I keep it on my dashboard
so I can identify notes on the radio
while I am stuck in traffic.
I bring it to singing practice to keep
us on key. Love it.

I took a risk and ordered this, because it was a perfect solution for someone who wants to take it with and practice their music. When I received it I was going to keep it, but upon testing, three keys made no sound at all and another made all kinds of the wrong sound (it stopped working a short time later). Also, movement caused the power to not work, or work, even though the batteries were in securely. Finally, you have to press the keys pretty hard, so it is impractical as a musical instrument, but good for what I wanted it for. I'm glad it failed immediately, as I am convinced that this is not a well made product based on my experience and some other reviews and would have failed in a short time. I sent it back. I then found a similar item at Toys-R-Us.

This one had better sound quality (nothing spectacular, though), more selections, and a headphone jack.
The one I found at Toys-R-Us poorer sound quality (a bit of static), but it had all the keys working, it stayed on, and the keys responded nicely. Also, on sale it was only $12.50, so worth the risk.

If they can do something about the quality, I like the idea - great portable keyboard.

I don't use this as a toy, so I didn't rate it so. I'm a professional singer and use it to warm-up before a performance.

it is a great toy for kids or very useful instrument for adults who play music. it is very convenient for adults who are on the road a lot, for both entertainment or practice.
