I bought this product because I was looking for something to put on my iPod. It was an impulse buy so I was very surprised when the product came and included dvds, iPod files, and some cool flash card software. A great deal IMHO. I am headed to Costa Rica to do some fishing and just wanted to learn some basic words like Hello and Goodbye. This product more than does the trick. The product teaches you about 600 words and a few basic sentences. The company advertises this as a way to start learning some basic Spanish or as a way to learn survival words if you're traveling somewhere. Makes sense. Of course after I started using this product, I then blew my budget and bought Fluenz. I like Fluenz a lot but it was close to $300.

I purchased this to learn some basic Spanish to get me started. This set does what it advertises. It is a basic learning program. Everything is organized into categories, and you can go through those categories on DVD or MP3 versions. I think there is a booklet included in the DVD case, but I haven't looked through it. I really wanted a program I could listen to in the car on the way to work. This fits the bill. I have it on my iPod and can listen by category. The bad part of that is, the instructions suggested creating a playlist b/c otherwise the categories are considered song titles, so that gets confusing. I did a playlist, however, now the words are not organized by category, they are all random. But that could be my error. The DVD is NOT very exciting or interesting. It is just two different people saying the words and phrases in Spanish and it gives you time to repeat them. Nothing spectacular, but I find I learn better by seeing the word (which is shown in the DVD) and hearing it, too. Overall, this is a good basic program.

Purchased this product to aid in learning Spanish, very happy with the format, display and process the product uses. I would recommend it to anybody at the beginner level.
