While I don't see the value of the Cube for phone applications, it was perfect to sidestep my weak laptop speaker (Inspiron Mini 12). Battery or USB powered, it's been wonderful for Podcasts. Don't expect super hi-fi for bass-oriented music but for $10, it's damn-near disposable! Give it a shot...a great value!

This speaker was worth ever penny! The sound is better than I had expected, it stated that there wasn't any sound distortion and I couldn't believe it, but there wasn't any until you get to an outrageous volume.

I like this speaker except at normal speaker sound level it is staticy. To keep from the static it is necessary to turn the iPod down so low I can't hear it. A Plus: nice long cord. Maybe I have a lemon, I don't know but I'm just going to use on my computer rather than a travel speaker for my pod.
