This review is from: Porter-Cable 12478-5 9-Inch 3 TPI Aggressive Wood Cutting Reciprocating Saw Blade (5-Pack) (Tools & Home Improvement)
I don't like to pull out the gas chainsaw out for small jobs. I bought a 18v reciprocating saw and use these blades. They go through small trees with ease. I have used them on small trees with up to an 6 inch diameter. They rip right through them. No mess no fuss.

I used the blades for ripping cut outs in 2"x6". They cut quick. I used WD-40 to cool the blades between cuts. If you hit a nail the blade bends easy but can be straighted easily enough.

4.0 out of 5 stars great value - perfect for small diameter branches, April 26, 2011
This review is from: Porter-Cable 12478-5 9-Inch 3 TPI Aggressive Wood Cutting Reciprocating Saw Blade (5-Pack) (Tools & Home Improvement)
5 for the price of 1 comparable blade at a big box store. There were 23 hedges in my yard that the previous owner hadn't maintained in years. They measured 10 ft x 75 ft with stalks up to 2-3 inches in diamaeter. I cleared them all with 1 blade over about 6 hrs. One negative is that it's the wrong tool for thin shoots which bend too much to efficiently cut with a recipricating saw. So I went back & forth between my saw and pruners more than I wanted.
