2 inch blade a necessary item for face frames,

The 2 inch blade allows one to complete and glue face frames with smaller rails. I typically make 1 1/2 inch wide rails in face frames, and the smaller FF biscuits will now fit well with no overcutting of the slot. The blade fits the porter cable 557 biscuit cutter. If you are doing a large production of face frames and don't dowel or use a Kreg jig, then this item is one I recommend. I have 3 different biscuit joiners and the 557 has the 2 inch blade installed. I use it exclusively for the smaller FF biscuits. One needs 2 biscuits joiners for this to be effective, as changing the blades of the joiner to accomodate the 0,10,20 size biscuits takes a few minutes. A nice addition to the Porter Cable biscuit joiner.
