I bought this gun mostly for spraying finish on funiture and it worked perfect. The gun set-up was easy and gave great results with the lacquer I used. Originaly I had planned on buying the Porter Cable PSH1 gun its an extra $30 but I could not imagine it would give better results. It comes with tools to take it apart so clean-up is easy. My only complaint is that it does not come with a regulator so you have to use the one on your compressor. The product description on amazon is terrible and lacks the specs that it needs, like what size the product cup is (20 oz) or what size spray tip it comes with (1.4 mm). But as for the PSH 3 I would not hesitate buying it again.

I bought this to stain my fence after trying something different.

It took a little time to figure out the correct pressure rates, etc but once I did and found a good pattern I was able to stain fairly quickly. The 20 ounce container held enough stain to do 2 to 3 8' sections.

About the only trouble I had was having my pancake compressor keep up. It ran continuously and if I didn't give it a break now and then the pressure would drop too low.

Also, it didn't come with a quick connect nozzle to hook up to my air compressor hose. A quick run to Home Depot and $1.49 later I was set to go.

I use this gun to make my living. I own a refinishing company. I have always trusted Porter-Cable for quality products and they have not let me down. This has given me the best bang for my buck.
I have been using this for months and I have no complaints at all.
