They are as well made, clean & finished as one would expect from the brand name. I bought them because of the price - I must admit -- but the weight & quality has more than surprised me. My only real big job with them was driving about sixty ¾ inch lags - all 6 & 8 inches along with nuts on some heavy carriage bolts. The two bits I used look like they were never used. I was so impressed that I went out and bought the standard set. You can spend 2, 3 or 10 times the $ if you want. May be these wouldn't hold up in a "full time" mechanic's tool box, but they're as good as 99 out of 100 average Joes would ever need.

Like most users I have an impact wrench and a standard set of sockets just won't do. Recently I purchased Milwaukee 2664-22 18-Volt M18 3/4-Inch High Torque Impact Wrench with Friction Ring to do some suspension work on my Honda Civic. Looking for a deep impact socket set I found this to be reasonably priced and from a decent name brand. I was concerned a generic brand of sockets may not hold up well with a high torque impact wrench such as mine. Thankfully these sockets had no problem with any bolt I put them on. I ended up using only a few adapters out of this set such as the 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 17mm, and 19mm but all worked without any snapping or even wearing down on stuck bolts. Later I need a shallow set of impact sockets but Amazon only sells Porter-Cable deep impact sockets. So at that time I may look into a shallow IR impact set.

THE GOOD

1. Impact sockets seem solid for any job.
2. Great price. Maybe about half a similar IR set would cost.

1. Maybe the case is a little flimsy but still good for the job.

Overall there isn't much if anything to complain about with these sockets. They're a solid set of impact sockets at a reasonable price. I had a no name brand 1/2 to 3/8 impact adapter that easily broke off on a stuck bolt while these sockets showed no sign of wear after I had completed my job. You might be able to save a few bucks with a no name brand but in the future I would recommend this Porter-Cable set.

For the price of these sockets they can't be beat! They are good quality and at a low price. When I received them I was expecting something real cheapy, but they were in fact pretty good. Carrying case is nice too.

These deep well impact sockets are very well constructed and the most affordable impact sockets I could find. I would recommend them to anyone, from an occasional use homeowner to the professional mechanic.

Great set of Metric Deep Impact Wrench Sockets. Perfect for a shade tree mechanic!

I bought these to use with my cordless impact wrench. They have been holding up nicely so far. It comes with a nice case and everything feels good quality. And the price is good.

This is a nice set . The case is a perfect size and should fit nicely into a toolbox. I haven't broken one yet and I've put some torque on them.

The sockets work great at a great price but the finish on them is cheap. I droped one and some of the black finish came off already. I don't think they will brake easily as they have a good wieght to them but I'm going to be slightly more delicate with these then my other tools.

They do what they are supposed to do and they are a helluva lot cheaper than SK or snap on.

i compared it to other store brand such as "W___t". amazon was cheaper then so I bought it. works great.
