After Porter-Cable captured the lion's share of the pneumatic nailer business it seemed natural to focus on a whole line of pneumatic tools. After two years of testing and redesigning and testing again Porter-Cable is proud to introduce their new line of pneumatic tools. Since air hammers are used for so many different applications we knew we had to make this one to tough, so Porter-Cable heat-treats all the impact parts for durability and performance. A costly process that most modestly priced air hammers cannot offer. Made out of highly polished aluminum, it hammers at 3,000 blows per minute at 90 pounds per square inch of pressure (psi). For comfort it features a curved handle that is wrapped in a rubberized cushion handle.

I bought this hammer (along with Porter Cable PTA5 5 piece chisel set) to bust out wall tile from around a bath tub. It worked fantastic while hooked up to my 6 gallon Porter Cable air compressor, although the compressor runs almost all the time while running the tool.
