adequate, yet cheap,
By A Customer
This review is from: Porter-Cable RoboToolz RB01001K RoboLaser Self-Leveling Laser Level with Adjustable Tripod (Tools & Home Improvement)
I only rated this item as 3 stars because I couldn't rate it 3 1/2. I like it because it is inexpensive, and yet it still works for the jobs that I need it for. I do however, wish that it was a true rotary laser. It doesn't spin fast enough to project a solid line on the wall, so you will have to pull out your old chalkline. Overall, it's a satisfactory tool, and I especially like the option of having a remote control.

A super tool,

The remote control makes it a great tool for one person. The dot is much brighter than the lasers that display a continous line and no detector is needed. It can be seen for at least 100'. The price is right and it can pay for itself in one job.

Good Performance for the Money,

This review is from: Porter-Cable RoboToolz RB01001K RoboLaser Self-Leveling Laser Level with Adjustable Tripod (Tools & Home Improvement)
I purchased by robolaser last year (without the line generator and tripod) and have used it on several projects. I have been pleased with its performance. I have never had to recalibrate it though I treat it gently. For example, I am always sure to shut the slide over the "eye" of the laser as this locks the mechanism to prevent damage. The tool has worked for me and I would recommend it to others. Be aware that this tool eats batteries and I always travel with spares in the case to avoid having to stop and go buy more.I recently purchased a laser pole for interior work and a tripod is a great idea for exterior work.
